Stan Meyer Files

A primary-source archive of Stanley A. Meyer’s patents, technical documents, press coverage, and legal records.

Primary-source archive

Stanley Meyer’s work, documented through original records.

Stan Meyer Files collects patents, contemporaneous press coverage, technical manuals, and legal records relating to Meyer’s water fuel cell claims. The archive is evidence-first: every document is logged with provenance, and unverified claims are explicitly labeled.

What’s inside

  • US patent grant PDFs (official USPTO downloads)
  • International patent publications (archival mirrors pending official replacements)
  • Primary newspaper scans (Grove City Record, 1976–1998)
  • Technical manuals, memos, and design documents
  • Legal docket snapshots and records request paths

Provenance is logged in research/sources/sources-log.md.

Critical reading boundary

Documents are not the same as validation

Patent grants document claims that passed patent-office examination; they do not by themselves prove a device's measured efficiency, commercial performance, or the broader claim that a vehicle ran solely on water. The archive has not located a controlled, independently reproducible energy-balance test that establishes net energy production from Meyer's system.

The sections below provide the fastest path to the core evidence. Pages identify the underlying archival files, and the patent index links directly to official USPTO PDFs.

Evidence rules

Primary documents are treated as the source of truth. When only archival mirrors exist, the document is treated as primary and the host is labeled as a mirror. Claims without primary evidence are marked as allegations.

Every file is logged with URL and access date. OCR text is used for discovery and must be verified against the original scans before quoting.
